5 Herbs and Their Magical Properties

  • Cinnamon – Prosperity & abundance, protection, attraction magic. Perfect for simmer pots, money bowls or burning as incense for fast manifestation.

  • Dill – Protection (house), luck, dream protection & warding away negative energy. Add to kitchen magic, hang dried bundles for protection charms.

  • Orange Peel – Uplifting energy, success, cleansing & purification. Great for spell jars and simmer pots.

  • Star Anise – Luck & manifestation, clairvoyance, & psychic enhancement. Use in simmer pots, and dream magic pouches.

  • Mugwort – Psychic abilities, intuition, & lucid dreaming. Add to dream sachets.

Warning: Please use mugwort mindfully. This herb can trigger allergies (especially if you’re sensitive to plants in the Asteraceae family) and should be avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding. As always, do your own research and trust your body.

Simple Herbal Spells

  • Prosperity Simmer Pot: Fill a small pot of water and place on the stove. Add cinnamon sticks, orange peels (or dried orange slices!) and some star anise. Simmer on low as you focus on opportunities flowing your way. Don't be afraid to get a little specific here if there's certain opportunities you might want. Optional: Say

☾ “Warmth and spice, fortune be near; abundance flows freely here.” ☾
  • Protection Charm Bag: Grab a sachet and add cinnamon and some dried dill. Hold the bag between your hands and envision a glowing shield around your home. Hang near your front door or tuck safely in a drawer.

  • Intuition Tea-Light Ritual: Place a mugwort leaf beside (not on) a tealight candle. Do not burn the leaf! Set a star anise next to it. Light the candle and sit quietly as you breathe deeply. Say:

☾ “Open my sight, sharpen my mind, let truth be clear.” ☾

Begin your tarot, runes or whatever divination method is your preferred.

✨ Safety and Intuition in Herbal Magic ✨

⚠️ Always approach herbal magic with mindfulness and respect. Some herbs may cause allergic reactions or be unsafe for certain individuals (e.g., pregnancy or medical conditions). Trust your intuition when selecting herbs, and consult reliable sources if unsure. Use herbs in moderation and intention, honoring their natural energy.
